Warm Weather & Fun Times...

It is finally warm enough to play outside! I was so excited to break out the kids' summer wardrobe and even more excited to pack away their winter clothes. During the past week, we've had a play date at the park, played outside in the water and ate dinner at the playground twice. We are also enjoying taking the dogs for walks around the block as a family. It isn't dark until almost 9pm here, making it super hard to get the boys to go to bed, which is something we haven't experienced until now. We are looking forward to having lots of fun this summer while our house is being built.

We don't even own a football,
so I was so surprised how well
Beckett could throw the ball.

Birthday Party...

This year we decided to throw the boys a joint birthday party. I debated for many weeks whether to have individual parties or a joint party, and, in the end, this was the best decision considering everything going on in our lives. The theme of the party was Cars and we invited three of Payson and Beckett's friends from playgroup. After everyone enjoyed pizza and snacks, all of the kids had fun riding their bikes in our driveway. Then, we all came back inside for cake and presents. It was a great day with perfect weather and we hope everyone had a good time.

The invitation I designed for their party.

Their Cars cake before......
... Payson and Beckett ate handfuls
while no one was watching them.

Car totes with a matchbox car included.

Singing Happy Birthday to the boys.
Payson started blowing out the candles first.
Then Beckett finally joined in.
Beckett screaming "YAY!" because I asked,
"Who wants to open presents?!"
Screaming "PRESENTS!" and pointing to where they are.
Everyone was so kind to bring a present for each of the boys.
